Montane burst onto the sparkling water scene in Atlanta in 2017, when founder Hollis Callaway (from the family behind Georgia resort Callaway Gardens) debuted his flavored, carbonated beverages.

The water is sourced from Blue Springs, a cold, deep quartzite spring in Pine Mountain Ridge over an hour south of Atlanta, near the Callaway's famed resort and nature preserve. The Callaway’s have owned and protected the natural spring since the 1930s.

Once the water is drawn from the spring, Callaway simply adds carbonation and natural flavoring.
